A native of Thorndale, Milam, Texas, he had lived in the area 11 years and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. A retired pipe fitter, he was a member of Pipe fitter Local 195 and a retired World War II veteran.
Funeral services area set for 11 A.M. Wednesday at Nunnelly-Stanley Stickley Funeral Home with the Rev. Frederick Reutz, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Della Marie Schneider, Bridge City; one daughter, Mrs. Alvin R. Hebert, Bridge City; two sons, Thomas F. Schneider, Orange; Robert L. Schneider, Port Arthur; two sisters, Mrs. Ernestine Potter, Port Arthur; Mrs. Alma Lovelace, Port Arthur; one brother, Fred Schneider, Port Arthur; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
