Mrs. Carrie Anderson, a pioneer of Valley Springs township, died this week at the age of 79. She came to this country from Bergen, Norway at the age of 19 and lived in Decorah, Iowa, until 1888, when she came to Dakota territory, and was married to Martin Anderson the same year.
Serviving are two sons, Ralph, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Melvin, Valley Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Florence (Peder) Phillips, Valley Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Ed O. Sexe, Valley Springs, and Mrs. Dina Jacobson of Los Angeles.
Funeral services were held at the home and at Bethlehem Lutheran church in Hills, Minnesota.
