In 1862, Terry quarreled with Edward Burbridge, he hit him in the head with a stone and killed him. In Oct 1875 he was indicted for the murder and in Aug 1876, he was tried and sentenced to 15 years in the penitentiary, but was released after 2 years.
Crain was serving in the 128th IL Infantry at the time of the murder.
