Emma M. Winders, 82, of 95 Creek Road, Danville, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at Geisinger Medical Center.
Born in Danville, May 20, 1919, she was a daughter of the late David and Mary Potter Wintersteen.
Winders had been employed in the housekeeping department at Holiday Inn in Danville for 21 years, retiring in 1991.
She attended Straubs Lutheran Church, Danville.
She is survived by her husband, Theodore Winders, with whom she celebrated a 53rd wedding anniversary recently.
In addition to her parents, Winders was also preceded in death by three sisters: Viola Malcein, Edna Ellis and Beryl Wintersteen. She was the last of her immediate family.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons: Theodore Winders Jr., Lewisburg; and David Winders, Catawissa; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday from the David J. Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville. The Rev. Thomas Light, pastor of Straubs Lutheran Church, will officate. Burial will be in Columbia Hill Cemetery, Danville.
