Alene Hughen Bodie, age 94 of Knoxville, Tn. died late Monday, July 26, 2004. She was a native and lifelong resident of Northwest Florida, residing primarily in Milton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Milton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee Bodie, and her sons, Aaron and Billy Bodie.
Her survivors include her sons, Harold and Jerry Bodie of Knoxville; daughters, June Mackey of Pensacola, Joyce Digmon of Prattville, Al., Pat Spencer, Marilyn Moore and husband Charlie, all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jerry Bodie and wife, Ann, Ken Bodie and wife, Lisa, Larry Bodie and wife, Mitzi, Dr. Stephanie Carroll and husband, Cary, Joel Simmons and wife Sandy, and Lisa Simmons all of Knoxville. David, Gary, Billy, and Kim Mackey and Mike Digmon all of Pensacola, Sue Burdette and husband, Ronnie of Millbrook, Al., Jane Powell and husband, Jay of Elmore, Al., 22 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, sister in law, Olean Hughen, Pensacola, extended family, Dr. J. Robert Spencer, Elton Digmon, Robert Mackey, Pat Bodie.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bodie will be at 11:00 AM Friday, July 30, 2004 in the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Spencer and Dr. Joe Bamberg officiating. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens with Lewis Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
