Christian married Sarah Ritchie (1848-1903) on 11 Jan 1872 at Summit County, Ohio. Christian and Sarah were the parents of three known children, or whom two are known, namely:
1. Clara Elsie Gertrude Rothrock Frederick (1873-1953)
2. Della Luella Rothrock Turner (1878-1911)
The third child is believed to have died in childbirth or early childhood. At the time of the 1900 census Sarah said she was the mother of three, two living.

A link to a baby ROthrock (1903-1903) is also there but it is not known for sure that he was a child of Christian and Sarah as Sarah would have been 55 years old at the time of his birth, probably impossible for that era in time.
