This list of approx 250 soldiers included Horatio Angell Co K 20th Iowa Infantry. List was transcribed from headboards in Cassville Cemetery.

Of those 250, over 150 headboards, having been inscribed in pencil, were no longer legible. Many of the others were only partially legible.

Abt 1867, all were exhumed and moved to Springfield National Cemetery with the majority interred as unknowns.

Angell, Charles J. Age 31.(Probably a brother) Residence Buffalo,Iowa nativity Rhode Island. Enlisted July 26, 1862 into same company.Mustered Aug. 22, 1862. Died of disease Jan. 1, 1863, Waynesville, Mo. Also was in Company K, First Iowa Infantry.

Angell Henry P. Age 26.(Probably a brother) Residence Buffalo, nativity Rhode Island. Enlisted July 26, 1862 into same company. Mustered Aug. 22, 1862. Mustered out July 8, 1865, Mobile, Ala.
