Obituary of Elnora Beebe
Elnora Beebe, aged 58 years and 2 months was born August 26, 1860 on the old Beebe farm 5 1/2 miles southeast of North Judson living there continuously until she was married to Asa Flagg when 32 years of age. Her married life was of short duration and very unhappy. She only lived with him about two years when her brother took her and her daughter, Goldie A., back to the farm where she remained until the family moved to North Judson in 1912. The Beebe family moved into this house from the farm and have lived there continuously until her demise at 1:10 a.m., November 5th.
Her mother died when she was 27 years of age and she, with her sister, Meda, maintained the home and kept the family together. The father never remarried and he passed away April 11, 1910. She had two brothers, Hector K., and George O., the latter leaving the family fireside when he was 21 years old, joining the United States army and has been with Uncle Sam through the Spanish American War and the Philippine Insurrection. For the past 16 1/2 years he has lived in Chicago visiting the family at frequent intervals. The older brother Hector as he was known by all of you was the mainstay of the family, never marrying and after the father died he acted as father and brother to his devoted niece and sisters. Hector was called to meet his maker on January 8, 1915 and since that time the two sisters with Goldie, daughter and niece, have kept the home fires burning.
Elnora was stricken with paralysis in April 1915 and has been failing in health ever since.
She leaves her devoted daughter Goldie A., her sister Meda and brother George O., better known to you as Bert, to mourn her.
We can all splendidly trust God in life, no matter what its vicissitudes, if we but feel that we are drawn nearer to him. To the many kind friends and neighbors, who in the recent death of our beloved mother and sister, offered words and acts of condolence, accept our heartfelt thanks.

GOLDIE BEEBIE,
MEDA BEEBE,
LT. GEO. O. BEEBE.
