Gene Eddleman, 78, of Fayetteville died June 17, 2008, at his home. He was born July 16, 1929, in Paint Rock, Texas, to Euel and Annie Mae Pittman Eddleman.

He was former co-owner of 4-State Poultry. He was an Army veteran and a member of Elm Springs United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. He was treasurer of the Methodist Men's Association. He was past member of the Cattlemen's Association and helped coach youth basketball.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Norris Eddleman of the home, to whom he was married Feb. 25, 1960; two sons, Ken Eddleman and wife Cindy of Tontitown and Ronny Eddleman of Kingman, Ariz.; two daughters, Pam Newby and husband Phil of Miles City, Mont., and Robi Ceola and husband Mark of Purdy, Mo.; a brother, Leo Eddleman of Pottsville; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Elm Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl Palmer and the Rev. Phil Newby officiating. Burial will be in Elm Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church.

Pallbearers will be Josh Eddleman, Rance Eddleman, Ryan Ceola, Tyler Ceola, Tim Nelson and Kenny Hogue.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Austin, Gene Wilmoth, Scott Wallick, Bill Sellers, David Cheek, Max Page and Jerry Kever.

Memorials may be made to Elm Springs United Methodist Church Building Fund, 110 S. School, Elm Springs or Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.
