James S. Hubbard Died Last Friday, Aged 95. James Segil Hubbard, 95 years old and a resident of King City fifty years, died last Friday at the home of his daughter Mrs. Maggie Riddle, with whom he had lived many years. His funeral was held Monday at the Taggart-Woodrel mortuary, conducted by the Rev. C.A. Hall, Presbyterian pastor, and burial was in the King City cemetery. Mr Hubbard was born April 22, 1862, at Converse, Mo., a son of Sarah and Abner Hubbard. He was reared in the Lathrop community and move to DeKalb county sixty years ago, and about ten years later to King City. He lived here ever since except for about twelve years spent in Kansas City. Interviewed on his birthday two years ago, Mr Hubbard said he never had owned a pair of spectacles and he couldn't remember having ever taken a dose of medicine. Mr Hubbard is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Riddle, Mrs Jessie Arnold and Mrs. Roxie Adams, all of King City, and Mrs Etta Allen of St. Joseph; two sons, James Ollie Hubbard of King City and Charles Edgar Hubbard of Kansas City, and twenty eight grandchildren , thirty-nine great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
