GUY HASKETT PASSED AWAY - Pioneer Of The County Answered Last Call At Willits
Guy Haskett, well known Willits pioneer, passed away has home in Willits Sunday after an illness extending over a year or more. Funeral services were private and were held Wednesday afternoon with cremation following.

Lived In Potter Valley - Guy Haskett was born In Petaluma December 19, 1859, and when only an infant brought to this county by his parents. The family first settled in Potter Valley and later in Ukiah, where Mr. Haskett went to school until he was about 19. At the age of 26, he married Annie Angle, whose family owned the Walker Valley ranch and other ranch property in this part of the county. For a number of years Mr. Haskett worked on these ranches as foreman. Later he purchased a quarter section of land in Little Lake Valley, where the family home was for the next 20 years. This ranch still belongs to Mr. Haskett's children. Of late years Mr. Haskett has been ranching on the coast near Fort Bragg, but was forced to retire some two years ago by ill health.
