He married Elizabeth H. Todd in Knox Co., IL on 22 Dec 1857. She died in 1859 with the birth of their daughter, Elizabeth H. Jackson. He then married Mary A. Lacey and she died with the birth of their son, Eddis Lacey Jackson.
