Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Lou Bertha "Taunt Bert" Babineaux, age 69, who passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Musical selections will be provided by Charlotte Jopling, accompanied by Phyllis Simar on the organ. The songs will be Amazing Grace, Here I Am Lord, The Old Rugged Cross, Take My Hand Precious Lord, and How Great Thou Art.
Ms. Babineaux was a native and resident of Carencro. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in Carencro.
Survivors include one son, Dwayne Anthony Credeur of Red Wood, CA; two sisters, Donna Gayle LeBlanc and her husband, Thomas, of Milton, and Sherline Lantier of Rayne, and one grandchild, Heather Rae Credeur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Joseph Babineaux and the former, Marie Rose Jacquneaux and by one brother, Cledus Etienne Babineaux.
