Buell L. Averitt, 86, retired farmer, died in County Manor Nursing Home, Elkton, after a long illness.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Elkton.
Mr. Averitt was born in Stewart County, TN, March 11, 1887, son of the late Silas and Addie Morris Averitt. He was a member of the Baptist Church. His wife, Annie Smith Averitt, died in 1970.
Survivors include a son, Milton Averitt, Elkton; four daugthers, Mrs. Guy Greenhill, Guthrie, KY, Mrs. W. B. Ezell, Hopkinsville, KY, Mrs. Fentress Stagner, Granite City, IL, Mrs. Billy Rager, Henderson, KY; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
