Margaret Jane (Echard) Allman was the wife of William Allman (1821-1897. They were married on December 22, 1846, in Lewis County, (W)V. In the 1850 census they had the following children: John W. Allman 3, Albert Morgan Allman 1. Margaret [Echard] Allman died about 1858 or 1859.

On 15 Dec 1859, William had remarried, to (*)Kitturah "Kitty Ann" (Batten) Dean In the 1860 census additional children in the household were: Jacob . 8, Peter Elihu 6, Elias J. 4, George W. 2 - ALLMAN. Also in the household in 1860 were Alice V. Dean 5, and Adelaide V. Dean 3.
