Jose Maria Medina, 97 years old, born on July 14, 1911, passed away Saturday night, Aug. 9, 2008. Jose Maria was the son of the late Atilano and Feliz (Tapia) Medina and was a life-long resident of El Coruco. In addition to his father and mother he is preceded in death by his wife Adelina Hurtado Medina.
He is survived by three daughters: Maria Webb, Rita Medina both of Coruco and Grace and husband Orlando Sena, of Sena, N.M.; one son: Rey Medina of Coruco; two brothers: George Medina of Aurora, Colo.; and Paul Medina of Denver; two sisters: Inez Medina and Eleanor Montoya both of Denver.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Ancon, N.M., with Pastor Leroy Aragon officiating. Interment will follow at the Coruco Cemetery in Coruco, N.M.
Serving as Pallbearers are Ben Medina Jr., Carlos Medina, Rey Medina, Jesus Cano, Roger Sena and Richard Padilla.
