METCALF, Dillon, 73, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Huntsville Hospital. A native of Tennessee, he was retired from A.E.D.C., having worked there for 35 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was also a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Ed and Stella Metcalf, and two brothers, Hutson Metcalf of Lynchburg and Harold Metcalf of Shelbyville. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen; four children, Eddie (Wilma Jean) Metcalf, Don (Tammy) Metcalf and Diane Trail, all of Lynchburg and Debbie (Howard) Trail, Manchester; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren. Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, at Lynchburg Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Parks officiating. Interment was in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Lynchburg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements,
