Amel Houser, 71, died Tuesday at University of Louisville Hospital of injuries from a tractor accident 2 weeks ago at his farm near Elizabeth. He was a retired employee of South Central School Corp, a farmer, an Army veteran of WWII and a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Wilma Martin; 4 sons, Douglas of Jacksonville, FL, Jeffrey of Corydon, and Brent and Chad Houser; 4 daughters, Beth Ann Luttrell of San Diego, Deborah Crosier of Laconia, Laura Houser and Sherry Buckman; 3 sisters, Ozetta Bartley of Sellersburg, Thelma Reynolds of New Albany, and Ada Dehn; 15 grandchildren. Funeral will be on Friday at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial at Bethesda Cemetery near Elizabeth, IN. Visitation on Wed and Thurs.

Amel married Wilma Lucille Martin in approximately 1950.
