Mrs. Aarup died at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield at age 78 years. She was the daughter of Robert W. and Lillian Davenport Cheffy. She was an LPN and worked for St. John's Hospital, Memorial Medical Center and St. Joseph's Home. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 1968 and two brothers, James A. and Ralph Cheffy.
She was survived by one son and one daughter; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were at Concordia Lutheran Church with burial in the Old Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, IL.
