Daughter of Joseph H. and Elizabeth Ellen (Martin) Stricker, Wife of Elijah C. Claypool, Mother of Lydia, Charles B. and Alice A. (Veach) Claypool.

Julie Ann, daughter of Joseph A. and Eliza
Ellen Stricker, was born in Clark Co., IN.
Feb 8, 1853 and departed this life at the
home of her son, Charles, Jan 1, 1929.

She was united in marriage with Elijah
Claypool, Sep. 14, 1871 and to this union
were born three children.

She leaves to mourn her loss, a son Charles
of Martinsville, two daughters, Mrs. Ollie
Veach, of Dolson, and Mrs. Lydia Findley,
of Terre Haute, three brothers, Robert of
Marshall, Ill., John of Highland, Kansas,
and Warren of Ringwood, Okla., two sisters
Mrs Eliza Black and Mrs. Sarah Babcock of
Marshall, and 9 grandchildren.

She took Christ into her life when in her
youth and ever kept herself ready for the
call. Her life needs no eulogies, for she
lived her life as a worthy example for
those left behind to follow.

Funeral services were held at Blue Grass,
with Rev. J.A. Stout officiating, assisted by
Rev. A.I. Honn, of Martinsville. Buriel
was in Blue Grass Cemetery.
