JOHN M. BECKHAM OF BLACK HILLS IS BURIED ON MONDAY

John M. Beckham, aged 46 years, resident of the Black Hills community for the past 17 years, died Sunday afternoon after an illness of several months. Funeral rites were held Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the Black Hills church with interment in the Black Hills cemetery. The rites were conducted by Rev. T. R. Vaughn Baptist minister.

Surviving are his wife, six children, Melissa, Geneva, Evelyn, Margie Lou, Charles and Haywood Beckham, all of Black Hills; a brother, Benton Beckham, Corsicana; three sisters, Mrs. Coleman Easley, Mrs. Artie Easley and Mrs. Mack Norton, all of Hemphill, and other relatives.

Pallbearers were Grady Poarch, H. H. Tatum, John Tatum, Sam Allen, Hall Hench and Henry Slate.

Corley Funeral Home directed the arrangements.
