Son of William and Sarah Ann Smith Flinders. Married Comfort Elizabeth Godfrey Jul. 10, 1876.
On Jul. 11, 1866, having travelled from England with his parents and sister Sarah Ann they then journeyed with the William Henry Chipman Company from Wyoming, Nebraska (the west bank of the Missouri River about 40 miles south of Omaha) reaching Salt Lake City Sep. 16, 1866.
