Mabel Louise Griggs Lee Merritt, 86, of Danville, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007 in The Villages of Avon. Born on September 15, 1921 in North Salem, Indiana, she was the daughter of Thomas Arthur and Virginia Campbell Griggs. Mabel married Jewell Merritt on June 1, 1974, he preceded in death. She was the owner of the Danville Trading Post for over 20 years, a member of the Danville Christian Church, Priscilla Circle and Danville Conservation Club. Services will be 12:00 noon on Monday, November 12, 2007 at Danville Christian Church with calling there from 10:00 a.m. until service. Burial to follow in Montgomery Cemetery, Lizton. Survivors include a son, David Michael Lee of Danville, daughters, Priscilla Ann Lehman of Roachdale, Linda Sue Bills of Avon, Deborah Louise Templin of Coatesville and Margaret Elaine Cummins of Arizona, 26 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
