John Godfrey Ahlstrom was born Dec. 12 1850 at Malmo, Sweden. He was the son of Ole Ahlstrom and Ingeberg Monson. He came to America in 1856.
John became the ward bishop of St. John in 1898. He was the U.S. Mail Carrier in Tooele County for 18 years.
He married Mary Ellen Arthur, November 20, 1870. They had eight children.
