A memorial service for Cletus E. Cook, 73, of Forsyth, will be at 1 p.m. on July 26, 2008, in Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Helphrey Cemetery, in Taneyville.
Military honors will be provided by the Korean War Veterans Association Honor Guard.
He died July 20, 2008, at Table Rock Healthcare, in Kimberling City.
He was born May 5, 1935, in Taneyville, to Lee Harold and Edith (Addington) Cook. He attended School of the Ozarks and, in 1954, entered the U.S. Navy, where he served in the Korean War and was stationed at the Naval Air Station, in Jacksonville, Fla.
Following the Navy, he was a member of Teamsters Local 41 and the U.S. Postal Service as a truck driver.
He lived in Kansas City for 36 years before retiring and moving to Forsyth in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Monte, Victor and Jack Cook.
Survivors include his son, Kenny R. Cook, and wife, Tammy, of Abilene, Kan.; daughters, Kim Ogden, and husband, Jeff, of Leavenworth, Kan., and Julie Phillips, of Olathe, Kan.; brother, Wayne Cook, and wife, Judy, of Fall Creek, Wis.; sister, Joyce Corley, and husband, of Yukon, Okla.; former wife, Carolyn S. Cook; and four grandchildren.
