Mrs. Alice Lucile Berry
Mrs. Alice Lucile Berry, 80, Vermillion
Kansas died on December 19, 1989,
at a Topeka hospital.

Mrs. Berry and her husband farmed in
the Fostoria community until 1942.
Later they owned and operated a
grocery store in Fostoria until 1957.

She was an elementary school teacher
in the Longford community from 1957
to 1961 and then taught at Vermillion
Elementary School until 1980.

She was born on October 18, 1909
near Wakeenay, the daughter of
Edward and Ella Trowbridge Robinson.
She earned her Bachelor of science
degree in elementary education in
Manhattan at Kansas State.

Mrs. Berry was a member of the
United Methodist Church in
Vermillion where she served as
organist.

She was married to Jack Berry on
April 2, 1934 at Junction City, Ks,he
died on August 19, 1986.

Survivors include two daughters
Mrs. Virginia Stowell, Manhattan,
Mrs. Marjorie Worden, Stanton,
Michigan; four sons, Edward Berry
Midland, Texas, Roger Berry of
Annandale Virginia, Clayton Berry
Seattle, Washington and Keith
Berry, Des Monies, Iowa; a sister,
Mrs. Edith White, Florence; four
brothers, Earl Robinson and
Walter Robinson of Peabody,
Stanley Robinson, Longmont, Co.
and Wesley Robinson, Potwin; 20
grandchildren and 18 great-grand
children.

Services were held at 1p.m. on
Friday at United Methodist Church
in Vermillion, Ks and burial was in
the King Cemetery, Fostoria.
