On February 16, 1860 she married Homer R. Richardson (1838-1868) in Fort Scott, Bourbon County, Kansas.
Children:
• William Samuel "Sam" (1861-1918)
• Lucy Amelia 'Mellie' (1866-1918)
• Elizabeth Atlantis "Lizzie" (1868-1942) •
Homer died from pneumonia, at his home on Lightning Creek, near Monmouth, Osage Township, Crawford County, Kansas, on April 23, 1868 just twelve days after his daughter, Elizabeth Atlantis 'Lizzie', was born.
On July 29, 1871, Justice of the Peace J. P. Wiley married Naomi Richardson and Abner Edmundson (1826-1897). Their marriage license, issued in Girard, Crawford Counry, Kansas, clearly shows Abner Edmondson, however it is indexed as Abner Edmundson as is his FAG memorial.
Children:
• Infant Daughter Edmondson (1872-1872)
She died at her mother's home on Pawnee Creek in Hiattville, Kansas shortly after her daughter was born in May 1872.
A letter from Rosa Lea (Williams) Yancey, the daughter of Achsah Coulter (Riggs) Williams, to my grandmother, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Atlantis (Richardson) Hillard, in about 1938, states:
"...In the early part of 1871, your mother married a Mr. Edmondson, and in May 1872 she was expecting the stork, and Mr. Edmondson brought her up to Pawnee Station to be with Grand Mother and she took a cold on the way up, and she was subject to Bronchitis, and Dr. and all worked hard to check the cold before the stork would arrive, but it seemed impossible. So the little sister arrived and afterwards, Broncho-Pneumonia, and she passed away to her reward, and the little one soon followed, and was laid by her mothers side in the cemetery on Pawnee Creek beside Grand Father and Aunt Hannah Riggs..."
There are no headstones beside those of Hannah and Samuel Tait Riggs in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
