Alexander Curl, born near Carmichael, Green County, Penn., 14 April 1828. Married Sarah Neel of Carmichael, 8 Nov 1847. Nine children born, 8 living. Came to Sullivan County, Missouri, 1868. In 1901 went to Kay Co., Okla., where he died 13 Sept 1908. His wife died some 20 yrs ago. He leaves 5 sons, John N., Green Castle MO; William Linzy, James and Cephas W. of Baraman, Okla., 3 daughters, Mrs Sarah Caroline Rinehart, Browning MO; Mrs. May Johnson, west of Browning, and Mrs J.E. Nelson of Baraman, Okla. Services at Browning M.E. Church South by Rev. E.M. Capp, with burial Jenkins Cemetery, Linn Co MO. (The Browning Leader-Record, issue 17 Sept 1908, Browning MO.)
