She was born to Elmer Lee and Christina (Hoy) Caraway in Gonzales County on Aug. 22, 1921.

She married Edker Wiley on Dec. 30, 1938, in Leesville.

Her husband preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1997.

Surviving Mrs. Wiley are her daughter, Linda Wiley Hildebrand of New Braunfels; sons James Wiley and wife Estella of Stockdale and Virgil Wayne Wiley and wife Donna of Seguin; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
