"Wife of John Weist" of Bedford County. Buried next to Metz and Youngs. Mariah Young married Valentine Metz first. "Voletine" Metz died (dates are b. 1815 - d. 1863) and was buried at the Rinard Cemetery in Ground Hog Valley along with his parents from Germany.

Her first husband owned the land north of French Creek Road and about a mile east of Battleground Hollow Road across from a small pond. Her father-in-law owned land a quarter mile south of French Creek Road on Battleground Hollow Road and on the west side of BGR. Val and George bought their "100" acre farms in 1856 and 1854 respectively.

Next, Mariah Young Metz married the much younger John Weist. Her kids in 1880 are John E. Metz born 1857 buried Graceville, Amanda Metz b. 1862, Emma J. Metz b. 1865, and listed in 1870 was Elizabeth Metz buried Graceville b. 1860, d. 1872.

Listed in 1860 were the kids David Metz b. 1845, Susanna 1848-1862 (Rinard Cem.), (Sarah) Jane b. 1850 m. Oliver Colledge, Harman b. 1852, Samuel Metz buried at Asbury Methodist down the road 1855 -1924 m. to Jennie E. Ritchey, John b. 1857 d. 1917 m. Emma A. Colledge, and George Metz b. 1785 (Rinard Cem.).

Other Metz kids are George 1844-1844, William 1843-1854, Daniel 1845-1862, and mother Margaret Metz 1785-1852; all buried at Rinard Cemetery.
