He was born to Adam and Louisa (Maurer) Fender.
His wife, Eva, preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, Julius, Bellefontaine, George, San Diego, CA, and Andrew, Ada; and three daughters, Mrs. Fair, Mrs. Harley Bowman, Wapakoneta, and Genevieve Dustman, Toledo.
Funeral services were at the Liberty Lutheran church.
