Esta Vee Carringer Payne, age 75, of Tallassee, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 06, 2008, at her home in Happy Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Lena Carringer; and her siblings, Kimsay Jackson, Stacey Williams, Jean Boring, Nora Lou Fann, George Carringer, and Mack Farley. She is survived by her husband, Vance Payne; son, Ron Payne; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Steven Green of Oak Hill, Va.; four grandchildren; brother, Andrew Carringer Jr. of Tapoco, N.C.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Beecher Whitehead officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, from 1-2 p.m. at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
