She resided her entire life in America in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. In 1864, she married Frank Henniges and together they had four children: Nicholas, Anna, Mary and Frances.
Margaret and her husband, Frank, helped run the family liquor business; and after the death of her father in 1881, they took over the business, which was extremely succesful. Margaret's husband died five years before her in 1911, and his estate was worth over $70,000.

MRS. HENNIGES DIES
After a few hours illness of hemorrhage of the brain, Mrs. Margaret Henniges, aged 70, widow of Frank Henniges, wholesale liquor dealer, died at her home, 30 East Jackson street, yesterday afternoon. She was born in Wadern, Germany, and came to this country when 9 years of age and located in this city, where she has always resided. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Baltes, of Hanover-township. Mrs. Henniges was a member of the St. Nicholas Church and was loved and respected by a wide circle of friends.
