The funeral for Wilma Irene Merrick, 76, of Columbus was conducted Friday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with the Rev. Laura Helm officiating. Soloist was Mrs. Merrick's granddaughter, Sara Lawson.
Burial was at Garland Brook Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael, Daniel and Rachael Acree, Noel and Holly Newsom, Sara and Michael Lawson and Kiel Barkdull. Honorary pallbearers were Brian and Anne Mote.
