Samuel Black, son of Alimoth and Martha Black, came to Oklahoma from Alabama. He was married to Docia Ella Ebright at Norman, OK on Aug 30,1959. They lived on a farm in the Corbett community for a time and it was there their two children were born. At a later time they moved into Lexington where he worked as a ginner. They were of the Baptist faith.

After the death of his wife in 1950, Mr. Black continued living in his home in Lexington with his daughter, Bernice. His grandson, Donnie Lee Black, also preceded him in death. Survivors in addition to his daughter, are his son, A. E. (Bus), and his wife, Jewell, of Lindsey, OK, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
