Entered into eternal rest on the evening of February 11, 2010, Augusta Ames Christiansen of North Charleston, widow of Charles Christiansen.
The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Monday morning, February 15, 2010 at eleven-thirty in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's North Area Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Road, from ten-thirty until time of service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cherokee Place United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 70396, North Charleston, SC 29405.
Mrs. Christiansen was born on July 1, 1917 in Portsmouth, Virginia, daughter of the late William H. Ames and Katherine James Ames. She was a member of Cherokee Place United Methodist Church and was a gifted and loving homemaker. She also worked many years at Charleston Manufacturing Company.
Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Bozard and son-in-law Everett, both of Charleston; two grandchildren, Kelly B. Newsom and her husband Thomas of Sullivans Island, Leslee B. Ames of Charleston; three great grandchildren, Dylan Balthis, Ryan Newsom and Chelsea Ames.
