Dallas, Oregon, Dec. 15. - Daniel Syron, who had been a resident of Dallas for 37 years, died December 3, following a stroke of paralysis he suffered a few
days before.
Mr. Syron was born In Ohlo, January 1, 1832. He was one of the early settlers of the Willamette valley. coming to Oregon In 1852 and settling on a farm on Red Prairie, Polk County. He lived continuously In this county since that date, with the exception of a few years which were spent in Douglas county. He came to Dallas in 1880 and had lived hero continuously since that year.
Mr. Syron is survived by four children: Charles Syron, Marion Syron and Miss Della Syron of Dallas, and Frank Syron, first sergeant of Company L, One Hundred and Sixty-second United States infantry, until lately stationed at Camp Mills, Long Island, New York.
His wife died about 12 years ago.
