Hazel Lenore Glover Beckstead returned to her Heavenly Father on May 7, 1999 after a full and long life.
She was born in West Jordon, Utah, September 4, 1900. She was the 14th child of Joseph Glover and Ellen Louise Walters. Hazel was raised in the West Jordon area where she met and married Lynn Albert Beckstead, of South Jordon, Utah on October 31, 1925, in Salt Lake City. Lynn preceded her in death passing away 23 years later on September 11, 1952.
Hazel and Lynn had two sons, Jack L. Beckstead (Joann) and Deloy G. Beckstead (Theo) both having survived her at her time of death. Her parents, Joseph Glover and Ellen Louise Walters preceded her in death. Her brothers, Herbert, Joseph, Hyrum Wilford, Henry Harold, and James Harvey also preceded her in death. As well as her sisters, Sarah Ellen, Clara Alice, Inis Mable, Ethel May, Mary Orena, Effie Leona, Amy Amelia, and Valeria Louise. She has been survived not only by her sons but also 20 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and eight great great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 12, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates (6500 So. Redwood Rd.), where a viewing will be held in her honor Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to service. Interment, South Jordan City Cemetery (1055 W. 10650 S., South Jordan).
