She worked for many years at Elkay Industries and in her later years at several other manufacturing plants in Camden. Her last position was with KayCee Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Cemetery Committee and sang in the church choir until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Nonnie Player, Reavie Player Davis, Myrtle Player Sharpe and Hoyt and Manning Player and a daughter-in-law, Anna M. Shiver.
