John Franklin,one of the few "redemtioners" who found homes in Bradford County, came from England with his family in 1793 and in 1796 settled at Frenchtown.
His wife was Susanna Brown and their children:
Elizabeth (Mrs Bartholomew Laporte)
Rebecca (Mrs Edmund Dodge)
Sally (Mrs Nathaniel Terry)
Mary (Mrs Walter Seman)
Mr Franklin died in 1835, aged 89 years.
