Mabel Lucille (Meyers) Alzheimer Howard, of Great Falls, died of natural causes Tuesday July 29, 2008 at Peace Hospice. She was 100.

Survivors include her son, Dick (Judy) Alzheimer of Great Falls; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother, Merl, of Roundup and several nieces and nephews.
Mabel was born in Groton, S.D., on Aug. 16, 1907. She moved to Roundup on May 17, 1917, and then moved to Great Falls on Sept. 25, 1929.

On her 100th birthday, she said she prided herself on being the first in three generations of her family to make it to 100.

She was preceded in death by her husbands George Alzheimer and Earl Howard.

Burial of ashes will take place in Manchester Cemetery.
