Lucille Stoddard Hinds, 87, of Amarillo died Tuesday, July 29, 2008.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Sayre Doxey Cemetery in Sayre, Okla., by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. Hinds was born April 17, 1921, in Eureka Springs, Ark., to G.D. and Anna Stoddard. She moved to Elk City, Okla., as a small child and grew up in Elk City and Sayre. She came to Amarillo in the mid-'50s and married Clint Hinds on Aug. 31, 1964. She worked at the downtown Skaggs Drugstore for 17 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her father and mother, a sister and a daughter.

Survivors include nieces; a nephew, Robert Baker of Sayre; and a special friend she had known for 40 years, Velma Pedrotte, and husband Jim of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to Olivia's Angels, BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.

Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
