BOYD, B.R. – {from Whitener} B.R. Boyd died Thursday at his home south of town. Deceased had reached an advanced age, having been born in Arkansas in territorial times. He was a Federal soldier and fought with great gallantry on many fiercely contested fields. He had lived a quiet like on his farm near here for a number of years. The remains were laid to rest in Cedar cemetery.
