Richard Baxter Aitkin (sic), 95, died Thursday in a convalescent home in Oskaloosa. Mr. Aitkin (sic) for many years lived on a farm in Atchison County. He retired in 1933 and went to Atchison to live with his daughter, Mrs. Louis Marlett, and his granddaughter, Mrs. Mabel Childs.
Besides his daughter, he is survived by a son, A.F. Aitken (sic), Valley Falls; and four grandchildren, Mrs. Childs, Geroge Hamon of Arrington, Kan.; Miles Hamon of Florida and Mrs. Florence Garbe, Valley Falls.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hagge Funeral Home in Valley Falls with burial in Nortonville Cemetery.
