Ermile Kathleen O’Neal was born Nov. 29, 1901, in St. Joseph, MO, to James E. and Sarah Mint O'Neal. She was reared and received her schooling in St. Joseph. She moved to Biggs, OR, at the age of 17 and later moved to Portland.
She married Arthur L. Cooley in 1925 in Portland and he died in 1932.
She married Dr. S.A. Roe in 1933 and he died in 1938.
She married Dr. J.E. Fetherston in 1956 and he died in 1965.
She worked as a real estate salesperson in Corvallis for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Eastern Star, Benton Co. Medical Auxiliary, Corvallis Garden Club and Benton County Historical Society.
At the time of her passing November 17, 1985 she was survived by her two sons, Thomas W. Cooley of Federal Way, WA, and Robert L. Cooley of Bend (Passed away Nov. 01, 2010); two sisters; Irene Valley of Corvallis and Mary Fridley of Tigard; and a grandson, Patrick Cooley of Bend.
Her services were held at the First Christian Church of Corvallis. She was transported to Clarkston, Washington where she was interred at the Vineland Cemetery. Memorials at the time of her passing were asked to be sent to the First Christian Church or to McHenry Funeral Home in Corvallis.
