Mrs Grace Betts Succumbs at 75 of Heart Attack

Mrs. Grace B Betts, 75, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Herbert Benedict, Pioneers of Asotin County, died Saturday at 2:30 at Old Faithful WY, of a heart attack.

Her home was at the Parkway Apartments, Clarkston.

She was born Oct 6, 1894, at Anatone and lived there until 1900, when her family moved to Clarkston. She had lived in the Clarkston area since. The actual place of birth was Theon, just outside of Anatone.

She was married to Clayton Miller at Pomeroy on Jan 15, 1930. They built and operated the Highland Grocery from 1930 to 1944 when they sold it because of his illness. He died in February 1955.

She was married on May 6, 1969, at Lewiston to Homer Betts.

Surviving besides her husband, are a sister Mrs. Wilber (Pearl) Petty, three brothers, Guy Benedict, Clarkston; Byron Benedict, Clemens Addition, Rollo Benedict, Lewiston, and numerous nieces and nephews.
