Fought for the Confederacy: 10th Batallion Ga. Infantry, Company A. Rank: Private. Film: #M226 roll 22. He was a prisoner of war and was released after the surrender at Appomattox by Gen. Robert E. Lee.

Note: Henry F. Fulford married Amanda Apperson, but she had married William H. King, who died young, so she was the widow Amanda Apperson King when she married Henry Fulford. RDB

As far as we have determined, Henry Franklin's parents were Philip Stephen Fulford 1795 (Pitt County, NC) to 1834 (Macon County, Ga.) and Tabitha Parker Fulford (born in 1810 in Pitt County, NC). They are on a census in Macon County, Ga. (Grangerville) Information kindly supplied by descendant Ed Fulford was of much help.
