Infant Dies

The little infant of Mrs. Chas. Starina died last night at the home of its grandparents. The infant was only two days old.

The infants father is somewhere in France in the fighting line. The mother was formerly Miss Iva Overstreet, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Overstreet who resides north of Galena.

The beautiful baby life was so precious. So frought with blessing to the mother and grandparents that it seemed a flower of paradise permitted to bloom for a brief time.

We wish to extend the heartfelt sympathy to the mother, and the father who will not receive the word until the little babe is laid to rest.

The funeral services were held at the residence in Union Chapel at 3:00 o’clock this afternoon.

The burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
