Funeral services for Emma Jean Johnston, 73, Mill Creek, were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Mill Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. James Tisdell and Mike Gross officiating. Interment was in Mill Creek Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born January 16, 1933 in Concrete to William Alexander and Tula C. (Baker) Quinton, she died Thursday, Oct. 26 in Ardmore.

She married J. B. Johnston in Sulphur on March 12, 1949. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1991. She was Postmistress at Mill Creek until her retirement. She spent her entire life in Mill Creek attending school there and in Concrete. She attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mill Creek.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Woodrow Quinton and three sisters, Helen Rudling, Ellen McDonald and Leota Morton.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Roger Lee and Terri Johnston, Mill Creek; two grandchildren, Mistie Eddy and John Johnston; one great grandchild, Makala Eddy and four sisters, Winnie Hawkins, Midwest City, Maggie Pittman, Mill Creek, Viola Seeley, Sulphur Winzola Bray, Mill Creek.

Pallbearers were Billy Smith, allen Hearrell, Larry Wisdom, UlyssesHearrell, Mike Pitmon, Jamie Brown. Honorary bearers were Stoney Pitmon, Nick Ledbetter, T. J. Pitmon, Joe Payne and a very special friend, Mary Ledbetter.
