Lorene Vada Heavner Pruett, age 95, was a daughter of the late Acie Lee and Ellen Clara Hallman Heavner. Lorene was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville, active in Sunday School, and served 51 years in the Beginners Sunday School Class. She retired from Howell Manufacturing Company. Lorene was known as the "Watchdog of Delview Road."
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Vance Pruett; daughter, Joyce P. Moss; grandsons, Paul Moss, Jr., and Todd Moss, Sr., and 14 brothers and sisters.
Interment in City Memorial Cemetery.
Services provided by Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services.
